This is the States/Champs replacement. Last year (2008) it was semi-endorsed by Wizards of the Coast (foil Dauntless Dourbark, name recognition)
This year it is not publically supported by Wizards of the Coast but the Professional Tournament Organizers have rallied together to bring it back.

• Champion receives a plaque, custom DCI card, and receive free entry into all Constructed Premier Events for a year.

I made this free events period - constructed events, limited PTQs, Prereleases, Champs for a year. Drew Christensen won Champs 2008, and he'll attest to how awesome that prize is, and even used his BC Champion card to get free entry to Grand Prix - LA last year. It works out of BC too(but only for Constructed), as all the Professional Organizers are supporting Champs.
